HYDROPHILIC SST – SLA SURFACE

• It is a surface developed to accelerate the biological effect of cell adhesion, to strengthen the osseointegration process and to achieve a more successful clinical outcome.
• The surface is first subjected to mechanical treatment (sandblasting with Aluminum Oxide), then the roughening process created on the surface is followed by chemical etching and cleaning process (Large Acid Etched) and finally the surface becomes an active hydrophilic surface with cold Argon Plasma.
• After this process, the adhesion of chemical osteoblastic cells is enhanced and a highly clean surface characterized by homogeneous microporosity of a few microns is created to support the osteogenesis process.
